Question about articulated tentacle/tail

So, I'm not really a furry BUT I thought this community could be a great help to me with a cosplay I want to create. I want to make a Kaneki Ken cosplay from Tokyo Ghoul and I want to attempt to make his kagune move. I've seen lots of others make his kagune with a solid pool noodle, but my issue with this is that I don't really like the way it moves or looks (although I'm willing to go with it as a last resort). So my idea was to try to find videos online on how other people have made mechanical/articulated tentacles, tails, and other things of the sort but I cant seem to find a clear tutorial/I don't know how to rig it so either all 4 tentacles move or at least either the top 2 or the bottom 2. I guess my question is for those of you who either have ideas or who have made stuff like this before is how to I make 2-4 moving "tentacles" that I can mount onto myself (or I guess first how to even construct it)? I'll try to show the videos I've seen and some examples of the kagune from the anime/manga. Thank you, any tips are a great help :D
