Hello there! I'm making a halloween costume that requires handpaws/partial armsleeves, and I'm kind of stuck at this one part and could really use some help?
I've got a pattern made and fur cut out, there's just a small problem I've run into. When I cut out the fur, the fur ended up getting sliced along the edge into a solid, clean line, which looks like this:
and that's not how it should be at all, surely! The fur needs to be long and protrude over the edge, right? Because I plan on putting clawed fingers on the end in a sort of claw-paw style. The fur needs to be long and not chopped off for that.
here's the style of paw I'm looking to replicate (image credit to daajey on instagram):
anybody know how I can go about fixing this, or really, any tips on how to cut long furred fabric without slicing all of it off in the process?
I'm very new to this whole fursuit-making thing, and could really use some help. Thanks in advance!!
