seamless paw pads

I've seen some people do it and if anyone is willing to share their methods I'd appreciate it! I think I could figure out (thanks to tutorials) how to do -make- them but installing them is where I'm a bit stumped. If I recall Sparky can do made some seamless paw pads in a tutorial video by wrapping fleece around eva foam or something like that and gluing? My thing is in the video, if I remember correctly they were then glued onto the paw, and I think I'd like to find a way to sew them in somehow. I've never liked gluing in paw pads (though in the past I was working with silicone ones so this could have been a large part of the problem) because even with shaving I was always paranoid they were going to come off.

Thoughts?
