I am only familiar with the belt-and-loops method, so bear with my lack of knowledge on this subject.
Tails need a base after they are stuffed in order to keep the stuffing from falling out. This means that the edges of the tail are closed off in the base's seam. This, then, means that there aren't any edges to sew to the bodysuit's tail hole.
Can you just sew the tail's base-seam to the bodysuit anyway?
This probably sounds vague.
I could sew a spandex "sock", stuff that, insert that into the tail's fur "sleeve", and then sew the edges of the tail's fur "sleeve" to the bodysuit.
This also may sound vague.
Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!
