Toony Foam Nose Advice!

I'm sort of unsure on how to proceed with the nose for a bison suit. He's a very stylized suit so the nose is as well. I'm wanting to do fleece and foam, but I'm not sure if I should carve the details or color them.



These are the progress shots of his foamwork so far. The nose is cut out and pinned in place, so excuse the wrinkly edges and slight misalignment. For reference as to what I'd like it to look like when finished, here's an early concept drawing:


Any opinions on whether carving the "nostrils" or drawing them on would make for a better look?
