Second hand opinion needed

I've been working on a pattern for the construction of my pine marten head... and I've also been staring at it for too long.



Specifically, I'd like to know the following:
-are the cheeks jowly or too large, primarily the "smiley" piece?
-do I need to extend the cheeks further back, or do I need to bring the ears further forward?
(I am aware that the ears are too canine for a pine marten, those are just placeholders)
