So I've been trying my hand at needlesculpting; I've experimented and researched, but I can't seem to figure it completely out.
1. I read Matrices's tutorial, which was quite good, but I don't understand how to sew down the nostrils through all the layers. ...How does that work, and what stitch do you use?
2. How do you sew a base on the back and stuff it so that the base doesn't bulge out?? I'm not overstuffing it, but it ruins the nice, curved fit of the nose! It won't fit on the muzzle if it keeps bulging like that.
Also, sewing on a base takes away the nose's raw fabric edges, meaning that I'd have to sew the fur around the nose to a seam; that would be bulky and unsightly, wouldn't it? Is there something I'm missing with that?
I'm trying to get a nose to look similar to this head's nose; https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CvIcmutUMAAe9FS.jpg:large
Sorry if these questions sound vague. I have never needlesculpted before.
