Guilmon suit? Material to use?

Okay so next year I'd like to cosplay Guilmon. I have been thinking about what I wanted to do and I was informed this last weekend that next year is the Digimon Tamer's 15th anniversary and since I adore Guilmon I'd really like to build a suit of him. So, I've been examining some pictures of some other Guilmon suits made in the past, and it looks to me that the best ones have neck vision. I'm hoping to have a little more experience as I have some suits I'll be making before this, but I want to try to make it as accurate as possible while still wearable.

I know I'll be carving a lot of foam, which is fine since I mistakenly bought a huge roll of like 3" foam for really cheap when I made my first head. Lol, so it'll be a good opportunity to use a bunch of that. Anyway, I'm more curious about the furring. I'm thinking I'd probably be best off using fleece? Or maybe a red seal? Fleece is stretchy which might work nicely, but it also tends to give a wrinkled look on the suits I've seen. I'm afraid that seal might be too shiny? I don't really want him to look fuzzy. XD But it'll hide more sins than fleece.

And also, for neck vision. What fabric would I use for that?? I saw one suit made an articulated jaw but had neck vision. I have an idea of how that might work, but I'm not sure. ^^'

Any suggestions are appreciated!
