I have a couple of questions I'd like some input on. :)
1. What method do you use for body padding? Hollow foam, solid foam, stuffed 'pillows', a different method? I'm interested in hearing the pros and cons of whichever method you use! All of my suits (not made by me) have hollow foam body padding and it makes them so light and easy to wear. I just haven't fully grasped how to make them myself. My idea was to sculpt a small model of the padding out of foam or clay or something, make a duct tape pattern off of it and then size it up to be me-sized, cut it out of foam, glue it together and sew a fabric liner on the inside and outside all around it.
2. Has anyone successfully made a fursuit with minky fabric? I recently got a robe made of cuddle minky fabric and I love the texture of it. I'd love to make a fursuit out of it, but I don't know how well it would handle constant movement and washing, or if that would cause it to start pilling (if minky even does that, I know fleece does) or lose it's softness.
