fabric searching + suggestions needed~

I've come seeking answers to some inquires because I feel like I've exhausted all my search options!

I'm putting together a pink and white tiger-dragon thing based loosely on strawberry milkshakes. Finding a couple things I'm on the hunt for has been...difficult, to say the least.


So this tiger has been a pain in my butt because no one seems to make white/pink tiger fur. I acquired four yards from Cali Fabrics about a year back - the remainder of their stock. Someone on Etsy had a yard or two, but I didn't get the chance to buy it at the time. Most places have pink/black or, if they do have any kind of pink/white tiger print, it's usually not FUR.

I'm also hunting for a baby pink seal length fur that'll match the pink I have with the tiger. A lot of the pink seal I come across tends to veer a bit too hot/bright pink for my liking.

Lastly, I'm looking for some kind of canvas fabric that's white and has sparkles. Years ago my husband and I made a Haku costume from Spirited Away and we found this great pale purple sparkly fabric that was kind of canvas-y, a bit heavier. I used it to make a really nice looking scale-y belly for Haku and I was hoping to find something similar. If not that style of fabric specifically, I'm looking for any options of fabric that's white, sparkly, and can hold up to being the chest/belly on a fursuit.

As for building - I'm curious if anyone has done padded hips? I want her to look like she has dainty feet and a pear-ish silhouette (kind of like the second image). I've worn suits with padding in them, but I've never built one with and am open to suggestions or ideas as to how best to secure any padding and how to modify the pattern to accommodate it!
