Safe way to wash a fursuit with hot glued fur?

Asking this in advance to making a suit.
I have absolutely no idea how to hand sew!! I've tried so many times, I ended up creating a huge giant tangled mess. So I'm going to resort to hot glue. I feel like that'd have cleaner seams, anyways.

Are there safe ways to wash fursuits like that? I'm making this for a friend who's never had a fursuit before and I want them to take good care of it.
