This is a question I dont need answered right away, but I like ideas and this information is very important.
For kemono eyes (the iris being printed graphics applied to dark grey vinyl for the pupil) - does anyone know a specific paper or material that works well for the colored/printed iris part? Something higher quality for great prints and still durable?
UPS has a huge book of paper types, plastic paper, even fabrics. I can see how the quality is in general with them, the thing I can't tell is exactly how they hold up in a head especially with the heat/sweat and movement a moving-jaw foam head.
I asked them myself, but they didn't have any suggestions for me. Tutorials sometimes say "sticker paper" but I would think some American sticker paper brands would peel off from the heat coming from inside of the head, AKA the glue having bad effects on the paper and as an adhesive.
I think i'm not the only one researching this type of kemono eye project, so I hope this helps others as well, please tag/link this to people so there's answers to help everyone here. Kemono eyes aren't exactly common in fursuit making.
