I'm working on a dragon character that has inlaid opals on the body. One of the pieces is going to be like 4x3 inches and it's a weird shape, so I need to cast it.
I've never cast resin before, but I've always wanted to learn- and why not now, haha. Since I've never worked with it, is it feasible to make something that size or is it going to be too heavy? Would a jawset be too much, especially since I want it to move? Some of it is going on the end of the tail and some is going on the head. It's epoxy resin, if that makes a difference. I also might make some of the claws out of resin, will it stand up to wear and tear very well?
Thank you! :D
