Hello all,
June here again. After reading through the feedback from my previous post I've continued to modify and refine my sculpt. With the exception of carving out the area for the jaw's hinge to go I'd say it's coming along pretty nicely. I need to finish tweaking tonight because, in the next day or so, I fully intend to make the mold and cast a resin blank from this sculpt. I'm getting satisfied with the way it looks and think more improvements can be made by moving onto the next step. My question now though is, how in God's name do you smooth out monster clay? It's not like regular clay because it's oil based and you can't make a "slip" to smooth it with since water and oil don't mix. And I'm hesitant to try adding oil to it because I don't wanna ruin the batch of clay I have. Any tips on smoothing?
Thanks for taking the time to look through this. ^w^
