Hey guys, I wanted to finally get around to making my fursona, since she was a bit complicated to start with.
She's a reptile, so I was thinking I'd make her with fleece, though I have a few questions:
So this is her, Twinx. I'd probably only be doing a partial for now, since I don't quite have the supply for a fullsuit.
So here are my questions:
1. Have any good examples of fleece fursuits, both partial and full? I've been having a hard time finding fleece fullsuits, and the ones I have found are primarily loose and baggy in appearence.
2. Best way to keep fleece clean? I know you can't submerge the foamy-bits, so what's the best way to keep it clean if it's looking a little dusty?
3. Is it better to machine sew or hand sew fleece? I know how to do the henson stitch, but the only fleece head I made used that stitch and it ended up being too tight and restricted the jaw from moving.
4. Is there a way to drybrush fleece without it feeling crusty? I painted stripes on some fleece arms (antipil fleece with acryllic paint), and tried to keep it combed and airy through drying without smudging it, but it dried hard and crusty-feeling. Can I avoid this?
5. Would it look goofy if I made the teeth and claws out of fleece as well?
All help is much appreciated!
