Furs 'changing color' when shaved down.

I've got my first batch of swatches in an attempt to make myself some ears and a tail (starting small), but it looks like some of the furs I've chosen will change a bit of their color when shaved due to how it's dyed.

The ones I've narrowed it down to are (all from DF):
Wolf Fur (grey)
Brandy Fox Fur (grey) (seems to have the least risk of losing colors)
Husky Fur (grey)

If anyone has experience with those furs, will it 'change color' when shaved down like I'm thinking?
