I've still been "ho-humming" about my suit. I've order most of the stuff except for the fabric among other things. I went to my local craft store and was examining the fabric to find the right one for my suit that mentioned a few days/weeks ago. I was caught up though about which of the three material I put in my title to buy.
Fleece
Pros: I know what to expect with the material, it's inexpensive, there are tons of colors/patterns to choose from, the material is sturdy enough, and it's easy enough to work with.
Cons: The material will eventually pill/pil/pile, it might cause the appearance of fuzz/fluff/fur when my suit is suppose to appear flesh-like, it may get really hot when worn, might be harder to clean/keep sanitary.
Faux Leather/Pleather
Pros: This has the EXACT look I'm going for when I say "flesh like", material is study, has colors almost very close to what I want without dying/hunting the internet, and easy to clean.
Cons: Very hot when worn, tears/holes will not easily be repaired in a way that looks nice, harder to work with as a material, more expensive that fleece/upholstery fabric.
Upholstery Fabric
Pros: Has the best of fleece (easy to work with, cheaper, less heat) and faux leather (color/pattern I want, fleshier appearance, easy to clean).
Cons: Stiff material that is almost unforgiving, might be forced to compromise on a pattern/texture to get the color I want, and I've never really worked with it much.
With all the said, what say you guys (and gals)?
