A while back I mentioned how I really wanted to go overboard with the classic starwars tauntaun jokes as possible.
I've got better since I built SnowBunny, my first tauntuan and I'm feeling a bit more confident about trying this and as soon as possible. I'm really excited to make starwars fans really smile or fall over and have a laughing attack.
I've been very secretive about his purpose and only a handful few know what I plan to do with him. Here is what I had in mind as far as his purpose serves for his existence.
LukeWarm is the, ultimate, tauntaun suit! (Okay not over everyone else's but for his purpose, I have not see anyone do this yet)
SUIT FEATURES:
1. Removable plush guts pouring out of the main seam of the suit. In amongst the guts are Luke Skywalkers various appendages. (Should I include a face peering out of the guts for effect or just leave his arms and feet sticking out? Not sure if I should make a plush-toy face or a more realistic face rendering)
2.Resin eyes
3.More screen accurate rendering in the design and attributes of the suit
4. Multipurpose design that enables the wearer to become a ridiculed, "Lukewarm" tauntaun or a regular tauntaun before his mishap by Han Solo's lightsaber
5. This character has a special vendetta for Han Solo so watch out! He gets tunnel vision when the target locks on!
6.Main seam is going to be velcro, as well as the guts' outer edge that will be hidden when placed under the main seam.
Design Stumps:
How do I make the velcro go one way AND the other for the sake of closing and being hidden for "Normal tauntaun", but locking together with the guts at the same time during "LukeWarm"?
I'm thinking of a flap, but I have trouble envisioning where that flap would go and how it would be hidden during the normal tauntaun stage.
Also, based on my height and such, I know I will have to figure out WHERE the guts will start and where they will end on the suit.
Just in a general note, is this plausible as is or am I overlooking or not considering anything? I've never concocted a suit this detailed and intricate before so I'm a novice just whimsically thinking here, I might not cover all angles. That's where you guys come in :)
