Forgive me if I missed it, but I couldn't find anything that covered this specifically.
I'm gathering info for me and two friends to make our first fur suit. Found plenty of things, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me, well first off if my thought is even possible, and second how I might pull it off. In short, I'd like to make the suit in a way that would allow me to be either plantigrade or digitigrade as the venue requires (I.E. at work I can't wear stilts or any padding since it could get in the way in so many ways. And stilts, well, you can imagine the dangers there.)
My only thought is to make the legs a little more bulky to make room for padding, or to use stilts when I want the digitigrade look. I just discovered this page about sewing in some stretch to normal fur, and thought maybe it might offer some options as well, assuming we could manage the right kind of padding.

Any thoughts? Ideas on which kind of digitigrade paw (stilts, sockpaw, those boots that hide the heel, whatever) to make with your advice would also be appreciated. The plantigrade paw is easy. In case it matters, we're going for as much realism as we can manage.
Thanks in advance.
