Am I going about making paw pad molds correctly? What works well for the 'mold' material

(I am breaking down this into parts since I get confused easily about terminology on all of this!) My plans...

(Part 1)
-Make the sculpt using paper clay or sculpey
-Sand it down as much as possible.
-Go over it with gesso to get it super smooth.
*Any thoughts?

(Part 2)
I then am a little lost as to what to use for making the mold itself.
*Would oomoo 30 be the best option?
*Is there another silicone I should take a look at for the mold?
*I assume that plaster isn't the best thing to be using for the mold, correct?
-I would prefer a pour-in silicone, it sounds like it'd just work better for what i'm doing... But I want recommendations, especially for people who are familiar with making molds and knowing what works well with dragonskin for super smooth results.

-Silicone release: I understand this is a must thus I am planning on purchasing this as a spray.
*I heard other things work as a release as well, but may leave brush marks? D: ew.

(Part 3)
Final product:
-I'm pretty sure I want to use Dragonskin because i'm looking to achieve the glittery/starry and translucent effect.
I greatly appreciate input! I asked yeepyeep! on DA about this but no reply or response yet, and i'm more confident in all of the details about this, so I figured i'd ask to be sure i'm on the right track with everything.

If you have your own method that does achieve results that I could consider pretty flawless (I dont like little pieces sticking out or deformations or anything that's not really perfect) please share, I wont bite!
Mostly looking for product recommendation here since I already asked about methods!
