Suiting at a non-furry con?

So in August, I'll be suiting for the first time at Dragoncon in Atlanta. I know the "fursuiting rules" of a normal furry con, but I had a few questions about other conventions.

1. Since this will be my first time public fursuiting in general, I don't have much heat resistance built up, so I may need to change out of suit often. I've downloaded maps of the floor plan of the hotel, so I'll know where bathrooms that I can change in are, but I was wondering if there may be a better option? I haven't heard anything about there being a headless or cosplay lounge at dragoncon or any other related conventions, and since I live pretty near to the con, I don't have a hotel room. (I'm just going to take the bus to the con every day.)

2. I'm not sure what to transport my suit in every day, since I won't have a hotel room. Is there a specific bag that's recommended, or something I can do with the suit when I can't wear it any longer? (whatever I carry it in doesn't need to be huge, all I have is a partial with a tail, a head, and hands. I just don't want something HUGE that someone may want to steal, but at the same time I don't want something that would squish my head. )

3. (I'm sorry that this is such a stupid question, but I honestly don't know the answer.) Do fursuiters normally remove their suits before attending a panel? I've never heard of people doing it, but I was just kind of wondering because of the limited senses that come with wearing a suit. I'm also a little nervous about wearing a fursuit to panels because my suit's ears are pretty large, and I don't want to make anyone angry by accidentally having my ears in their way. Am I just being irrational worrying about this stuff?

That's all! I'm really if these were stupid questions, I'm kind of a newbie to all of this stuff.
