Making ears on a headband??

So, I looked into the memories on this page and only found 1 ear tutorial that actually had to do with making ears with a headband.

I am interested on how people actually attach the ears onto the headband? I know some people use clips as well.... When I tried making ears with clips, it didnt work so well. They would just flop over due to the weight I would guess. I would fill it with stuffing or even just use foam. Thats why I want to use the headband method for more stability. Do you guys use E6000 maybe??? Also, where do you guys buy your headbands for a good price? I know metal ones arent good cuz they hurt peoples heads.
