Hi! ^^ Just posting my Bolt the wonderdog fursuit head base, I want more redlines/critique and hopefully fix these jaws...
I'm wanting to make my jaws similar to DHC/MC heads, where the mouth goes into the cheek. This head already has a 1" piece of foam to make my head lower to see out of the eyes, and I feel I need another piece to get the jaw to be a working moving jaw. Does this mean I am making my heads too large? If I extend the cheeks down some more to make the mouth go into the cheeks (mid section or close), I feel the head will rest too much on my shoulders possibly.
Expression: I'm going for the happy expression (tongue out picture)
Eyes: I'm guessing I should probably add more foam from the side of the head to cover the eye, sadly it'd take away from some vision.
Cheek: I'm adding foam to the left side! But please do tell me what I can improve about them, they're somewhat fox-like.
Jaw: I feel this jaw will be way too wide if I go along the upper snout/mouth the same shape to match it, but i'm not sure! It looks flat/plain to me.
General: I feel like this dog has got some big intrusion going on since I added the cheeks and the large snout, the rest of the head looks small/plain and flat.... I love the size of the nose and upper jaw, but I wonder if this will look bad after it is furred :/
Note: I always make the area where the ears attach to the head more rounded, i'll take care of that! I also work differently than normal, I add the balaclava after the foam work is finished and have successfully made moving jaws doing so.
I love critique on anything you can find! It will improve how this will look <3
Edit: Made eye smaller slightly, raised eyebrow position and added some foam under them to make them pop out more.
