Sorry for posting here again so soon, but I'm fighting myself with my first non-resin realistic head and need some input.
Basically the creature I'm making is a bat hybrid. The character has the build of a bat facially so there is no problem there. Studying bats (and after asking the owner to the character) I notice they have larger eyes, so I ordered some 2" resin eyes. But now looking back now nobody has used larger eyes on bat fursuit heads... I also have seen very little photos on FurAffinity or on here of balaclava-based realistic heads.
My idea is that I would just work with the head as I do with a toony head but slightly smaller so it's more realistic. I was thinking of gluing the resin eyes straight to the foam, adding the epoxie and mesh and just continuing as usual.
Has anybody else ever made a balaclava-based realistic head and do you have any helpful hints? Are the larger eyes okay or should I just make the foam larger so they come out smaller and more "normal"?
Thanks for any input guys.
