My design for my first fursuit has been changing gradually in the past few weeks, and I'm thinking about adding small antlers to the design, but I have a few questions about the materials.
I would normally think of using resin, as I have some experience working with it. But I was thinking that I might want to go with something that I don't have to worry about snapping (I'm a bit clumsy), which has led me to think about making them from foam. How would one go around doing that? Would it be possible to sculpt the antlers from pieces of foam, then cover it in vinyl or something of the sort? Since it will be a toony suit, and my first suit too, I'm not overly concerned about detail.
Any advice or other suggestions would be great, thanks!
