Okay so I actually ordered the fur a while ago, a month or so... at the time I tried to overlook the issue, just deal with it, but well... now it's bugging me more .__.
When I unpacked the box I found the fur looking a bit short and frizzy, and it is uniform over the entire 3 yards.
The defect is not horrible, technically still usable.... but it also is not like what it was in the past, it is not the usual teddy texture and overall I just plain DO NOT LIKE IT, it makes me cringe to look at this three yards of what should be the same beautifully textured fur I am so used to using.
Time has passed and I did not get a sample so if I try to get a refund I know I will run into problems.
Regardless, my question is: Did you order this fur and run into this problem???

I seem to be noticing a trend in Monterrey Mills fur (as resold by Cr Crafts) quality falling despite prices rising. Fox seems thinner than it used to be, if I compare the texture of the white teddy I have from a few years ago to current stuff the older fur has a much thicker undercoat and the texture is overall nicer... and now the teddy koala is not like it used to be either.
In addition to this quite a few of the tans which have been readily available from MM/CR for years have up and vanished. I had to use cubby tan recently when I had planned to use soft teddy champagne.
I am a real stickler for quality and fur texture and I am sick of not being able to trust what I order...
