shark skin fabric?

hey ya'll!

just wondering if anybody has any ideas for fabric to use to replicate shark skin for a partial? I do NOT want to use fur, and although fleece could work, I'm shying away from it a bit, mostly because I'd like to try something new that you don't see much, and I dont want it to look "cuddly"
