Padding for resin masks

Hi! Just a quick question:

So I just finished my first mold for my resin mask! :D Gonna be casting tomorrow and I'm really excited! The mold turned out exactly as expected and I didn't screw anything up! :D

I put the mold on my face just to see how it would fit, and it seems as if I got a whole inch of extra vertical space. Like when I wear it so the top makes contact with my head, there's about an inch space between my chin and the bottom of the mask.

Since I have absolutely no experience with resin masks at all, how do I fix this? Do you pad the top or the bottom?
