Bunny Couple Fursuits Questions

Hey guys! I've been a long time lurker on here, but now that I'm finally making some suits, I decided to ask some questions!

I'm working on 2 rabbit fursuits for my boyfriend and I and I was wondering how I would go about making and attaching the ears. I've looked through the memories and I have a slight idea on how to do it, but I decided to ask just in case! Here are some pictures of the foam work I have so far.

I was thinking forming the ears out of plastic canvas with wire to curve it. I would also add some foam near the base to give it a bit of volume, but I'm not sure. Is there a better or easier way to do it?

I'm also a bit stumped on how to attach the ears to the head since I'm working on balaclava. I was thinking adding some foam and making a slit for the ear to sit in and then glue it down really good. Again, I'm not sure if there's another way of doing so. And would it make a difference if the male's ears are pointed up and the female's are tilted back?
