The head is done! Now moving on to the tail and body. This has been an absolutely fun project thus far. I found a happy solution to the mane. Not a polyfill poop or a hair flag- but pretty much the two combined. Oh Oh and the best part is the hair is removable for easy storage/transportation. It's latched with a hook and industrial strength velcro.
Head armature is built on a balaclava with elastic and upholstery foam. The mask is very light but durable.
Fleece, crushed stretch velvet, sparkly chiffon fabric-- all from Joann's. Horn was from the lovely folks over at DVC.
