I'm -considering- helping my friend do a few refurbishments to her head .. and I think the two things that need replacing the most are the eyes and nose. My first question is...the nose seems pretty securely glued on....is there anyway to remove it without destroying the foam it's attached to underneath? I was thinking about trying to apply a little bit of heat from underneath to help melt the hot glue a little (it worked when I need to rip some fur off a balacava).
And eyes ... when people need to remove eyes do you just cut them out? These eyes are kind of half falling off anyway, but I don't want to do any additional damage to this head even with good intentions hah. Also, I was considering making the eyes out of some small spaced cross stitch material (or buckram haven't decided yet) and was wondering if I could color either in with Copic markers? I love the colors I have (and hey they're something I have on hand) but I'm concerned marker will bleed. Will it be okay? Could I spray it with something to seal it? I also wouldn't mind painting them with acrylic maybe? Any tips would be awesome. :)
