I have 2 5v fans I plan to use on a head to blow air out the ears, to get them running at their peak should I stick them with a 9v battery? Is there a possibility of running them with 12v (A23)safely?
I took an old Antec 3 speed fan from my boyfriend's old computer, my plan was to use it to dry my head after the con or even to carry around to cool me now and then. I was able to find out that it is a 12v fan but when I connected it it seemed to only run on it's lowest speed, changing it seemed to have no effect. Any ideas on how to get it working at 3 speeds as it should? Is 12v not enough? or is there something else I'm missing to get it working?
