Cat head critique needed

Hello all! It's been a while since I posted here. I got set on working on this new head, a cat, and I would love some feedback!

What do you guys think? I'm trying to go for as close to housecat as possible, I'm really hoping this head comes out really nicely.

Another quick question- How can I use foam to make an area so the fur looks longer? Here's a sketch of what I mean, my OC has LONG cheek fur and I want that to stand out (since she's a long-haired cat): http://i40.tinypic.com/zhp3.jpg
