Expressions and bumpy bits?

Hello everyone!

I'm finally making progress with my head, but I've run across a few snag. I broke the pictures into 2 cuts in case it was too heavy.

The below is the head pinned up with ears, eyes, and eyelashes. She has a subtle expression I really like, like she's curious, I don't know :P





This cut includes what I have right now. Only the right side of the face is sewn up- I accidentally butchered the cheek fur on the left, so I have to recut it.







I'm worried about expression coming through. It seems duller now, though hopefully you can see the little indent I tried to make. I don't want crazy happy, just content, but it appears as though her expression kind of melted away. If I shave the area, will it be more obvious? If I could make that part black, would it help and how would you do it?

Also kind of visible in the front facing pictures is a bump under the right eye where the fur is raised. I can't seem to fix it. Will it be more obvious shaved down?

Any problems you see that I might be missing?
