Hey guys, I'm in need of some serious help here. I'm not sure what to do.
A close friend of mine bought the materials to have me remake her fursuit that matches mine. They're toony style wolves (or I think that's what you'd call it [see pics]) I'm experienced in terms of sewing and crafting, but have limited fursuit experience compared to some of you pros.
Everything seemed to be going fine. I tried using my head to guide the construction, while changing things to create a more feminine look (hers is female, mine male). Overall she wanted it to be very similar to mine. I guess I was overhasty and didn't notice the flaws, because once I furred it it just looks bad.
First/Old Version of Her Suit:
She wanted the new suit to remain a homage to this one, and very similar in design, but to make the head shape more realistic and change the eyes (both style and shape) to match the style of my suit.
My suit:
This is what I got:
(Bear in mind that the lower jaw isn't attached in these photos xD)
I showed her and we both agreed that it just looks tired, and the eyes seem close together, which ruins the cute, bubbly personality she wanted it to have. We're not sure if that's the only thing making this head look so off. (cheeks, snout???)
The eyes are easily removable right now, and it's all foam construction. Unfortunately the fur is already sewn and glued, but I'm afraid it will have to come off for repairs, but before I do anything I want input badly, because I'm not sure what to do, and I don't want to worsen it or waste massive amounts of material that she has paid for.
I'll take words, sentences, paragraphs, photos, redlines, anything that may help. (Even if it isn't about the eyes, face, etc) I'm worried about disappointing her, and we both really want this suit to be great. I appreciate any help.
Thanks guys!
