Alright, so my friend had commissioned me to make bunny ears and a cat tail for a cosplay as 'Mew Berry', knowing that I make fursuits and everything. So far, the ears came out ok (the first time making rabbit ears).
I'm on to working on the tail. With my budget, time, and area, there has been no decent quality white fur around. Craft fur is better than what other furs have been available, so I'm stuck with that. So my problem is, is that the backing of the fur is stiff, and doesn't get the right 'sway' for a tail.
So how can I soften it? I've tried searching places, but they keep telling me to put the stiff material in a dryer, and I know that's a big no no. Any suggestions?
