So, I've got a con coming up and my Muse suit seems like she's due for a cleaning. I haven't worn her -that- much in 6ish years, but being pink and white, she is getting a bit dirty. I think the pink part of her face still looks pretty good, but I'd like to get the white markings whiter again if possible. I recently just hand washed the hand paws in the sink, and they're sitting in front of the fan now. I'm aiming to spot clean the head tomorrow or the next day.
Any tips?
I just used some powder arm and hammer laundry detergent (bleach free) on the hand paws, and was wondering if I could use it on the head and feet paws (both white in the areas that need cleaning) like, wet a sponge and rub some of the powder into the sponge, and maybe like...gently rub the areas that need cleaning? I'm not -too- worried about messing up the feet paws, but I'd feel terrible about messing up the head since she's not -that- dirty, but I would like to clean her up if I can safely do so without doing any damage. Then maybe put it in front of the fan too?
Any tried and true techniques for heads that need just a bit of cleaning? I'd take advice for cleaning feetpaws too, since they're all white, and the toes are looking fairly grungy.
