I've mentioned this before, but are there anyways to get a mane on a fursuit to stand on end and to, basically, stay that way? Like a hair gel or a glue or spray of some type that won't harm the fur but will make the fur keep its flared state, by chance? I wanted to find a way that wouldn't create a heat trap. I've added foam to a head before to make it "bigger" or "fuller" and it just kills the suiter because of the extra heat it traps in!
I like exaggeration in my drawings and I want to bring that to life in the next fursuit I want to build. I just don't know how. I think I've seen Sharpe spray some of her heads before to fluff up the back of the head to make the head appear fuller and bushier. I think it was with her Kahjit mask she made.
I was thinking of using Matrice's binturong method to sew in some brushed and straightened, black yarn to make the mane appear thicker. I plan to use 3 inch long fur. Possibly MM Fox or black artcic fox from another place. I thought sewing in the thicker fur would make the mane appear bushier. All though, this is going to be a laborious process.
